Kick Off!
Victor Fernandez is a 29-year-old entrepreneur who started VictorFunding.com, a Loan Brokerage that helps business owners and entrepreneurs get $20,000 to $400,000 with 700+ credit score. He has had 20 jobs, and 10 “failed” businesses in his young life but is finally feeling “successful” and hitting revenues of $40k a month. Inspired by Tim Ferris of The 4-hour Work Week and Eric Ries of The Lean Startup, Victor has set goals to make a successful lifestyle business while at the same time help business owners/ entrepreneurs fund their companies.
Move the Chains
One of Victor’s lowest points as a business owner came when a business partner took off one weekend with the investment money they’d raised to open a restaurant. “He went to Austin and I never saw him again,” Victor recalls. “We were barely getting by as it was. That’s when I had to move back home with my mom and figure things out.”
Touchdown!
Not one to let hard times keep him down, Victor Fernandez stopped watching television (“A bad habit”) and started reading. “My brother suggested The 4-Hour Work Weekk by Tim Ferris,” Victor remembers. “He’s a smart guy who graduated from MIT. I listened to him and now I read new books all the time.”
The combination of hard times and reading helped Victor move past the betrayal of his former business partner and build a lifestyle business he’s proud of.
