Hello Team PYP, Mary Lou Kayser here, and welcome to Playbook Audibles, the newest member of Team PYP!

What exactly is a Playbook Audible and why does it matter to you?

Playbook Audibles are a part of the PYP Leadership Academy designed to supplement the awesome conversations we have here twice a month with incredible guests.

The term “calling an audible” comes from football and it means to decide what to do at the last second after seeing all possible options and obstacles that come up. When the quarterback goes up to the line of scrimmage, sees a defensive alignment he wasn’t expecting, and adjusts by yelling out a new play.

Don’t worry — I’m not going to yell at you. What I am going to do, though, is give you a new play to consider during the week between guests, something my previous week’s guest shared that you can apply to what you’re doing in work and life that may not be obvious or top of mind.

Each playbook audible will be short and on point, about 5-6 minutes tops. I will design each one strategically based on the awesome insights from my guests and make sure they are relevant to you.

I’m amazed when I listen back to a previous episode and pick up on so many ideas I missed the first time around. Playbook Audible distills down one key point and gives you that extra shot in the arm — a quick mindset snack to keep you fueled and able to continue showing up and playing to win as your best self .
